Teacher
Martijn Bakker (1974) started
practising yoga during his studies in 1994. One year later he subscribed for
the yoga teachers course of the
Saswitha Stichting. In 1997 he graduated as an engineer in Technology
with Business Studies and he got the 'qualification to teach certificate'
from the yoga teachers course at the Saswitha Stichting. After his studies
he got a job in IT in which field he is still working today. Next to that he
is teaching yoga as a hobby.
From 2002 onwards
Martijn participated in several yoga courses in the tradition of
T. Krishnamarchaya
at different institutes in both Europe and India.
In 2003 Martijn started to
teach yoga to some of his friends and in 2004 he opened
Yoga
Centre.
In March 2006 an article
on the yoga tradition of T. Krishnamacharya written by Martijn was published
in the Dutch yoga magazine
Tijdschrift voor Yoga.
